Miele Guard M1 does vacuum duties at Villa_OAB.
We're about out of the free bags that came with the vacuum. My word, the proper Miele bags are spenny.
Anyone got experience of unbranded/aftermarket bags?
Or sources of cheap Miele bags.

Miele bags are full of internal lattice for some reason, they are not fun when searching for accidentally vacuumed small parts.
Some cheaper bag have not been properly sealing to hose connection point so there potential issue there.
More important (maybe): is there any consensus yet on how on earth we're supposed to pronounce it? Is it "meeel"? "Mi-el" (like spanish honey)? "Mi-el-eh"?
I need to know for my upper-middle-class parent evenings!

You can't do that with Miele bags because they have a small pipe hole. Also, life is too short - the reason for getting a bagged rather than a bagless vacuum is so you DONT have to get covered in dust every time you empty it.
Also, the bag is the filter. It's going to get clogged and isn't going to work as well.

We do have a Joseph Joseph bin (honest it was in the ex-display sale at John Lewis...oh dear, I am not making this any better am I?). Bags are similarly spenny. However, I have discovered a source on eBay that makes them the same cost as Tesco's finest. I just have to buy a couple of years supply in one go.

I tried unbranded Miele bags once and they were useless as didn't fit properly or seal properly. Depends on how many unbranded ones you want to try before you find something decent but I just stick with proper Miele bags now.
