My gran likes him and so does my daughter. Its a bit too anodyne for my wife, who I'm sure would be happier frigging herself off to desperate housewives

Have you ever seen anyone else who's appearance and behaviour scream
'cocaine' more than this bloke?

Pleasant voice, though why anyone would buy one of his albums rather than
a Sinatra one is beyond me.

I switched this on last night to hear him murder one of my old favourites "Me and Mrs Jones" (one of my "older woman" things when I was a lad...no access to porn...imagination was all we had).

There is no doubt he has a fine fine voice but he seems to be becoming a caricature of himself - messing around with his voice too much in the songs.

Not really my thing but he seems a sound enough guy. Each to their own and all that...

That depends what you like. From what I've heard he has a sh1t voice.

Watched a "behind-the-scenes" type DVD thing on him at xmas (cos my mum is a fan).

I have to say that he does seem like a genuinely nice bloke who gets a massive kick from what he does. Though that could just be very slick marketing I guess.

Great voice, but he doesn't really make my pants wet.

I'm a fan.

Oddly I have the feeling he has potential to bloat up and be a 'chubber' in later life.

You see, it doesn't depend on anything. Fine voice = fine voice no matter what music you like. His music doesn't do much for me either DezB. I know you're down with the cool and hip music so maybe you could explain how his voice is shite for the rest of us?

My ears hear his voice and I think "god that's sh1t". ~So, to me, its shit. Matter of opinion and that's mine.
Nothing to do with what I'm into. Frank Sinatra has a fine voice, to my ears. But I don't buy his records.

My Mrs wants to go & see him. Now I think he has a really good voice (how can he possibly be 'sh!t?) BUT, I think he's dead boring & I don't want to sit through a recital by him!

Much as I like Canada...Michael Bumlay, Celine Dion, Nickleback, Bryan Adams, and a couple of annoying girly singers, Jesus their taste in music is ****ing shit.

You've answered your own question.
See, what it is, it really bugs me that, just because someone can hold a tuneand sing a note-for-note cover version of someone else's song (maybe with a few interpritive warbles thrown in) people say its FACT that they have a "good voice". That's not what music is about or everyone would like opera, cos they have "good voices".
Its all about taste, unless you're Simon Cowell then its all about marketability to the sheep who respond to a "good voice".
YES! it really does bug me!
Like Nat King Cole has a great voice IMO, cos he interprets the songs in an original way and was of his time. Singers like Buble are pointless cos its all been done before.
That's all. 😕

Bachmann Turner Overdrive were Canadian and Not Fragile had some really heavy tracks
Didn't mind Heart either, quite pleasing on the eye and the dark haired singer had a nice voice

Would much rather have had a memorial programme on Ronnie James Dio than the soapy bubble bloke

DezB, I don't think you know the difference between sh!t & boring. Lets put it another way. Imo, XC mtb racing is boring (to watch) but in no way are the top level riders 'sh!t'. Football to me is as dull as dishwater, but I respect the talent{s) of decent players.
Mick the Bubble has a good voice but.....ZZZZZZ.
