i really cant see how people could still like the man
but celebs do seem to be able to get away with it

where is this book pete?
I love his old stuff, but the blokes basically has-been and still trying to cling onto past glories. TBH I feel sorry for him. I certainly wouldn't want his life...
DId anyone see the fan on BBC Breakfast this morning? In her eyes he was absolutely infallible. Blind faith.
He was never convicted of being a paedo was he? I don't know whether he is or just a weirdo really.
the media acceptance of this man back into the fold is very very worrying.
I dont know if he is or he is not but he is certainly not babysitting my kids and his behaviour is very inappropriate.
Townsend used the line many peadophiles use when caught - anyone else entered their credit card details on to a child porn site to research whether it was bad or not? FFS how stupid a line is that?
It is very worrying that society and fans just gloss over this in media land they should be shunned as is Gary Glitter shamefull
His music is really bad as well
I caught a story about his come back tour to the uk, how millions of fans were rejoicing and how he stood to make £100 million...... and it was as if nothing had ever happened. Made me quite angry. And in response to the thread title - No. He's not just a paedo, he's a rich famous paedo. That makes all the difference.
Dennis Pennis interviews Michael Jackson .... "Whats your favorite pop group 3-T or do you still prefer Boyz To Men?" 😀
There you go - convicted in the court of STW. I really dunno why they bother with all that judge and jury stuff when it's so simple.
>TBH I feel sorry for him. I certainly wouldn't want his life... ,
Or his face 😉
I'd give this thread about 30 minutes before it gets locked 😉
My tuppence - rich pervert.

Nothing strange about his first trial for child molestation ending in a massive out of court settlement and a gagging order?
Bearing in mind we are talking about a man who admits sharing his bed with young boys.....who's former manager said he used to hand pick young boys from photographs to come and stay with him.....
GNARGNAR - MemberNothing strange about his first trial for child molestation ending in a massive out of court settlement and a gagging order?
Aha - so any out of court settlement is an admission of guilt?
Only in the court of public opinion

What's your take on it?
So Druidh would you let him watch your kids/grandkids?
What's your take on it?
he found out he didn't fit in? 🙄
money got jackson off the hook imho payoffs or just super expensive lawyers
as for townsend
im with Nessa form gavin and stacey....
"I was on the road with The Who, I started to see some things I didn't like and I'll say to you what I said to Pete Townsend - where's the book?"
as for his gigs personally i reckon theyll be ****in terrible all his talent has gone top sh!t with his face
he fuct this up too
he is certainly not babysitting my kids
..and I'll bet that's something he loses sleep over.
Druidh
If someone accused you of being a paedophile and you were innocent would you
a) setlle out of court , put a gagging order on them and never mention it again and carry on sleeping with children (he admits this part but insists nothing happens of that nature)
b) Go ****ing mental and fight for the rest of your life using the best paid lawyers money can buy in order to clear your name of this disguisting slur?
FFS even OJ got off how guilty was he do not even take a risk? What evidence did they have on him?
Only thing that will make his comeback any good to watch would be if that guy (can't remember his name) jumps on stage and shows his arse to Jackson like he did at a music awards ceremony.
he is forever 'blowing' Bubbles as well (no he is not a West Ham Fan)
would you be happy if your kids shared a bed with a fully grown man?
even if he was famous?
I'm not saying he did anything to them, i honestly have no idea but if i was sharing my bed with teenage boys i'd expect to be, and quite rightly so, vilified.

So in light of that statement, anyone who sleeps in the same bed as a minor is now a paedo?
Yes he's weird, but he hasn't been convicted of anything, which is an important fact to remember, unless you are happy to have every crime judged by the media.
footstomper - it was jarvis cocker
Thriller was one hell of an album.

Numerous people have testified in court , under oath, that he molested young boys.
By his own admission, he shares his bed with young boys who are not related to him in anyway(and even if they were it would be ****ing strange).
He has settled for damages out of court and placed gagging orders on young boys who have alleged that he molested them.
Judged by the media? Judged by common sense more like.
Hitler was never convicted of anything was he? Are we besmirching his good name by suggesting he did anything wrong without him even getting a fair trial on account of his inconvenient suicide?
Michael Jackson to Adolf Hitler in 30 posts. I love it here.

Not as good as "Remember Me This Way"
I was gonna go for Mengele..................
come on "Off the Wall" was the best.
Settling out of court has a very different spin on it in the US. Unlike here where it's seen as an admission of guilt.
Over there it's more of a money thing, cost $20mill to prove your innocence in court or $1mill so that the person doesn't bring the case and shuts up.
If the person bringing the case really wanted to, they still could - so now you have to think if they are being paid off, are they making it up in the first place.
Swings and roundabouts really.
I thought his version of "I won't let your son go down on me" was a classic . .
Swings and roundabouts really.
😆 funniest punchline so far!
Remember that news footage a few years ago showing Michael Jackson dangling a young child from a hotel balcony? Odd, because he normally just tosses them off.
Is he touring with The Backstreet Boys?
He should not be allowed into the county on the basis that he poses a threat to young kids.
I find it disgusting that he will be allowed to attempt a comeback.
singing a right load of old guff
Oi, Glitter may be a total pervy sick bastard, but you can't diss the music!
Numerous people have testified in court , under oath, that he molested young boys.
Me thinks he may have made himself a target after the first out of court settlement
Plenty of odd people (albeit not as odd as MJ) would be prepared to stand up in court and lie (or otherwise as who knows) about being fiddled by a very rich man... win/no win/settle.. the odds of making a fortune are somewhat better than that of the lottery 😮
Probably an easy couple of hundred grand for a media exclusive about your story for a start.
Strange times - strange man 😉
