Ok
Here goes nothing.
I would like to own a masking spray that helps to ensure I dont smell like 4 day old gym kit on warmer days.
Some sort of clean scent to cover up that sweaty pit smell, cheesy feet, sweaty socks, cycling kit or old bath towel smell.
Nothing too fragrant like Jphn Paul Gautier la male, more earthy or masculine would be nice.
Sorted for anti persperant deodorant, but would like something a little more fragrant.
Any ideas welcome

Try soap and water?

Made me laugh 😂

Davidoff Cool Water

I don't wear aftershave more than once or twice a year, or perfume, but it's the one Mrs Fazzini likes the best on me.

Zara mens aftershave 'Vibrant Leather'

Cheap enough if you don't like it and it's a copy of the aftershave Creed

Creed for me. Bois Du Portugal is my day time daily. Aventus of going out at weekends and Virgin Island Water for holidays…..I’m running low on all of them so do need a trip abroad to restock. I hate paying UK prices. I do get about 12 months of use out of the daily.

Azzarro pour Homme is quite good. Or Ck One.

In the usual STW fashion of recommending what you use yourself….

Davidoff Cool Water

Used to love that stuff, then I went away one weekend and somehow managed to smash a full bottle of it inside my bag, en route. When I opened my bag the smell was overwhelming as every item of clothing in the bag was now covered in it. I wreaked of it for the entire weekend. Can’t stand the stuff now 😂

Can you still get hold of Tom Ford London? For some reason I thought it was discontinued?

Bloody hell @binners, I imagined you dabbing a Gregg's pasty behind each ear.

Versace

I like this one, smells fresh and clean rather than like you are on the pull 😂

The original 007 or Davidoff Cool Water for me, the boss likes something more in your face.

Not sure tbh. I only ever saw it in duty free. Another option is tobacco & oud.

Like Gillette shaving foam smell. Boss Niut aftershave is ok, like that fragrance
Apparently :its supposed to match your own smell

Mont blanc explorer is affordable and pretty Creed Aventus like. It won't offend anyone and is year round versatile.

Much as I despise JD, Sauvage or 'sausage' is a very decent scent

If you want to go cheap and cheerful the lynx daily fragrance range do the job, they have suitably manly names like oak and leather, or BDSM and steel. that kind of thing

Well, what's the point of that then? You already match your own smell.

The older gentleman? Have you tried a potent mix of Imperial Leather and disappointment?

As a fresh, clean fragrance I really like Murdock Black Tea. Tend to use that as a work scent. For other use Viktor & Rolph Spicebomb, D&G Intenso or Acqua di Gio Absolu are really nice, woody spiced scents. But my favourite is Armani Stronger With You.

Penhaligon's Halfeti is a good masculine crowd-pleaser. Halfeti Cedar if you like it a bit more woody.

If you're looking to go full on masculine, earthy and niche then check out Nasomatto Terroni. Just tread carefully with it. And never tell an Italian that's what you're wearing...

I would happily wear a combination of petrol, gt85, hot freshly laid tarmac, unlit cigars, new bike tyres, roasting coffee, solvant cement and pine sap being run through a belt sander.
However other members of the public might not appreciate me smelling like the Brands Hatch pitlane, Hence asking.....

+1 for Lynx daily fragrance, £6 lasts a long time and I use it as an ad hoc indoor freshen up.

For outside the house Armani Code sits well with me, particularly Absolute Gold. Feels a bit grown up and not overpowering.

Creed Green Irish Tweed, good enough for Cary Grant. Mrs Sandwich gets weak at the knees when I wear it, she may not do the same for you OP!

Received a sample of Creed Aventus today and can't say it works for me. Basically the same as my Mont Blanc Explorer, which I knew, but I can't believe they're that similar when worn one spray of each on opposite wrists. Totally not worth the 7 or 8 times the price.

I don’t get the love for Creed. The smell doesn’t last long. I tried Aventus and Viking (1 on each wrist) and within an hour the smell was gone. But the Spicebomb I put on was still sniffable 10 hours later.
