Ankle boots, earth colours, blocking, posh denim, casual suits for men in AW12/13.

Denim and blazers / double breasted jackets are just there for it to be easier for us to decide who is to be executed when the new world order begins.

I like wearing them. More comfy than baggy shorts.

I'm a tad tubby but still feel sexy in them and this is reinforced by all the looks of admiration i get.

Damn; I'm hot stuff in tights!!

They're easy to wear on the bike, which is a real plus. I prefer tights to trousers for pootling around, but daren't now I'm fat & old. I used to wear Ron Hills & skinny rugby shirts in the 80s, with a bum bag to keep my keys etc in.
Surprisingly, I got asked out a couple of times by young ladies.

I've seen actual Men wearing Ugg Boots.. No really I have.. In Southampton, I know.. ! It's the style capital of Western Europe donchaknow.

As for the Meggings, well as soon as I see an Old Man in them with a large Poo bulging down one leg then I'm convinced they'll be a hit..

For those who remember drain pipe jeans it’s all a bit of a 70’s fashion revival dressed up to be the latest thing

Non news. Fashion for boys just follows girls trends anyway, just toned downed colours

I thought the standing fashion advice for men was "whatever it is you're trying to do, you'll probably get it wrong"

No it means Ladies have Leggings and Men have Meggings..

Meggings are a mens version of 'Mumblers'

Meh Meggins is well over dude.
New 'old' trend in menswear pants is drop crotch banana style

or Hammer time for more extreme fashionistas. Neither are practical for riding the bike 😕

Can we soon expect most men in certain areas to be strolling around the isles in Tesco in hello kitty PJ's and Ugg boots then?

Now you come to mention it... 😆
I've seen trendy London-types wearing something like those Bananas, but really tight in the leg, with a stonewashed finish. Really attractive look, too. 😯

TBH Banana pants are a bikers friend lots of thigh room and they negate the need for trouser clips - although the cocking of the leg over is tough

The people who wear these sort of things should just wear a dress and get it over with 😉

Same goes for men who own skinny jeans, wear tight tops, use hair straighteners, make themselves look like an ooompa looompa with fake tan, take longer to get ready than a woman etc etc 😆

Ugg boots were originally for men

I've seen Nicholas Whitchall wearing some once at Bicester village

[embarrassing admission] I have some skinny, carrot cut, track pants (super tight on the lower leg and baggy round the crotch) which I wear with Ugg boots. Most comfortable ‘indoors only’ combo ever. I get changed when I take the bins out though as I’m fully aware I look like a ****. [/embarrassing admission]

I could be up for some Meggings action but I'm not sure I'm ready for the inevitable "visible boxer line" quandary.

I've got Emu sheepskin boots (like Uggs) that I strictly wear indoors as slippers in the house. I ran out in them to catch the bin men the other day and they all (justifiably) pi$$ed themselves at me.

good to see the stw tradition of weeing in boots is upheld by other members of society.

Is Emu waterproof?

Oh dear lord god, NO!

Men talking fashion. We know nothing about fashion. "IF" you claim to "know" about or "like" fashion then you're one of them there "blokes" for whom meggings are already an integral part of their "wardrobe". As mtb-ers we know nothing about fashion. Take a look in the mirror. Our long suffering wives really don't care how you dress. You might as well wear a sack with a rope belt, for all the good it will do. Our wives are just humouring us.

* And Ugg boots were originally for blokes. Australian ones though. 😉

Ugg boots I don't mind, I think they're "quite" a good idea if you live in Nothern Europe in a dry climate.. but we don't. We have months of rain, then the sun comes out, then it rains again and all these Girlies that wear Ugg boots find it all too confusing/difficult to change footwear so they wear them there Ugg boots, day in, day out.. and they Stink, and look shite once wet.

Megging No,
Lycra Leggings Yes.

Emsz style tips

Not being funny, but I'm not too optimistic about the accuracy of men's fashion tips from a lesbian. Especially one who's a regular on a mountain bike forum.

Actually, sorry to pick on you, I wouldnt take tips on fashion from ANYONE who posts on STW.

Can I combine meggings with a bum bag (fanny pack if you prefer) for wallet carrying purposes? Or is that a faux pas?
