Mine seems to be growing a rather long point downwards over the years. Normal age thing?

your bones are still growing? 😯

Isn't that supposed to stop when you're about 20?

That's your beer belly[/i]

😆 Usually, that may well of been quite true.

However in the case of [s]captain USA[/s] Molgrips esq, IIRC, has said he doesn't like beer.
😯

It's called the xiphoid process, not sure why it's still growing though. Sometimes bones just seem to do that...

"After age 40, a person may become aware of their partially ossified xiphoid process and mistake it for an abnormality.[1]"

[serious]
Well get along to your GP, better to unnecessarily bother him/her about your sternum, rather than to miss something...

Don't bother paying an expert to look at it. Have a look at some stuff on google then perform some self-surgery to remove it.

Bonus points if you can turn the offcut into some useful backpacking implement.

Molgrips esq, IIRC, has said he doesn't like beer.

I can attest to this. He was fixing my bike the other night and refused one. Hadn't noticed him mentioning not liking it on here.

Incidentally, not sure what TTIUWP means. TAPLA!

Did you get that BB sorted out in the end?

I snapped mine and it now grows forward, looks like someone pushing their thumb out from the inside. Fortunately the beer belly currently hides this. I only noticed when I lost weight a few years back and the doc confirmed my xiphoid was growing at 90 degrees to my sternum

I had to order it from Wiggle, as it was £7 cheaper than Halfords, so no, not yet. Hopefully, the new one will be here tomorrow.

Top tip - Halfords price match online, so bring up Wiggle on your phone* and show them the price they'll match it.

* assuming you have a phone that does such things...
