I’m truly amazed at the brass neck of them.

I'm not. It was always going to be like this once they obtained power through a massive lie.

He has to be gone after the last bit about her brother. If not, we are truly through the looking glass.

But then I thought that about old Cumstains just over a year ago too…

exactly

a blip in polling next week, then the week after....

Conservatives 58% (+12)

Whoever is breaking this stuff is a genius. They've got Fatboy saying he accepts the apology and the matter is closed. So they break the bit about her brother. Now if they can force Fatboy to backtrack on this, it is implicit that he is condemning the cronyism "I'll let you nob my sister if I make a million". If he does that, it is open season on nearly all of this shower of bastards.

Ordure, ordure - as there is now no incentive for anyone with Hancock information to keep it quiet so...it's open season!
Asking for his/his family's privacy to be respected; no chance.
He knows how this works - as a public servant you can't moralise without expecting some payback when your own behaviour/morals, in any regard, fall short of the standards you expect of others.
What a gift for investigative journalists - go to it!

I doubt much investigation is needed. This stuff is getting dished up to them on a platter.

Marina Gleefully sticks the boot in

When does Armando Iannucci revel that Hancock is a character written by him?

I mean, the Queen bit gives it away, doesn't it? "Poor man".

Frankly I didn’t think that Hancock would do something like this. Granted, he’s a bit weird, but cheating on his wife who he has had three children with?

TBH this government of scumbags liars and traitors seems to have been a masterclass for Hancock, it's amazing how quickly he's adapted to it and become almost creepy as gove, as proudly clueless as Raab, as maliciously dishonest as Patel... So obviously this is what he's learned from the boss.

If you have no scruples then this really is no problem.

Daft sods out in the shires still think Johnson actually believes in Brexit.

On R4 PM just now...Harry Cole, political editor of The Sun, making clear that hancock will have a very difficult weekend; that, to me, is a clear message - we have more and will publish.
He also said that their source was a '...concerned Westminster whistle-blower'; cue investigation to trace said whistle blower (Dom) while no investigation into hancock's failure to comply with ministerial code, him appointing a mate, him exercising undue influence and so much more.
About an hour before his mini mea culpa this afternoon when he apologised for breaking regulations, truss said he had not breached any of the regulations/guidelines.
They really are a shower of shit.

Cole has better far sources than “no longer inside” Cummings.

That Daily Mash article has a para worth repeating:

Practise self-love

Pamper yourself rotten. Take the rest of the day off, get a big takeaway in, then kick back with your favourite film and a nice cool six pack. You’ve earned it. Only have a **** if you’re confident the memory of the (Hancock) photo won’t drift into your mind and ruin the whole thing.

LOL!

From a hancock parody twitter account...

On Thursday evening after a successful day of saving lives and protecting the NHS, I walked in to my office to see Gina choking on a throat swab from our world beating test and trace kits. I immediately tried to dislodge it with my tongue to save her life…”

does beg the question what's Murdoch's end game on this... I can't imagine this story was run without his express consent.

Is it related to rubbing the Russian Bear up the wrong way ?

Do all ministers have CCTV cameras watching them in their offices?

Obviously Rupert Murdoch isn't responsible for Hancock's extramarital affairs, it would however be pointless and make no business sense at all to turn down the story and let a competitor handle it.

Murdoch's first priority is to make money, lots of money. Having one of his publication handling a mega-story like this one can only help him with that goal.

A knock on effect of publishing the story is it re-enforces and reminds everyone of his power, his power to make and destroy political careers. And more power means more money for Murdoch.

Finally the Sun hates backing losers, Hancock's political future didn't seem particularly rosy even before this story broke.

I agree that the Sun's editor would have first cleared an important story like this with Murdoch. Murdoch openly admits to being very much hands on with the Sun whilst very much leaving the Times to its own devices. I have no doubt that's true.

Wasn't it in a room that is used in televised links? I suspect there is a security angle to it. Although it has been suggested that it was maybe unofficially bugged. Which presumably means that they were extremely lucky to place a bug exactly where they chose to have a snog and grope.

Am I the only person who thinks that there's been some kind of national security issue if the CCTV is in a Govt building?

Very much this. If your star is on the wane you are ****ed with Murdoch. You are expendable.

**** Hancock anyway. He's a nasty little piece of work. I won't shed any tears if he goes. He should be being prosecuted for corruption, really.

Bloke from the Sun on Radio 4 PM this evening saying that if Hardcock thinks it's all over and he's got an easy weekend ahead of him he better think again.

I sooooo hope they have more. Not more sleaze - some good business dodginess tomorrow please. The slimey useless shit needs gutting.

I'm not sure which way the Hancock affair will push things..

Rupert Murdoch has asked the government to abolish the legal restraints on him interfering in the editorial independence of the Times and the Sunday Times that were put in place when he first bought the newspapers.

Not just in the building, but in his office, normally they're in corridors aren't they?

Don't get too excited the sacking/resigning precedent has been set. Being a piss poor unconvincing liar just won't do.

Brassing it out, one of the boys is honky dory!

I wonder if “queenie” had a prior heads up to “poor man” Hancock’s expose in the papers before her recent meeting with Bojo the clown?.
