Yes!!!
110% deserved. Completely reliable and seems so nice.
Half a chicken and chips
And my second course is cheese, silverskin onions and a couple of whiskys!
Well done ginge!
Thoroughly deserved. It’s been said many times in this thread but the standard this year has been bonkers
He was first class from the off, and a nice guy by the looks of it.
We didn't watch the final till last night, he definitely deserved to win.
Im sure all 3 will have job offers and great futures in the industry.

Jay Rayner and Grace Dent, amongst others, will be be cooking for Gregg and John. Should be entertaining

^^^^ 8pm tonight 👍🏻
Oooh! Cheers.
It'd be better if the critics were cooking for critics.
I now want a big bowl of salt and chilli ribs.

That kind of defies the point of the show.
Called it when he made the ribs, even before the little editing trick that they ALWAYS do on the reveal of the winner gave it away.
Good decision IMO.
And this might be today’s lunch.

It was a good bit of fun. Jay was the clear winner. I wasn’t sure what all the waterworks were for. It will be interesting to see if it changes their behaviour when normal duties are resumed
Some people’s emotions all come out as relief when they hear good feedback. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I’ve just watched it. Very entertaining.
I think the tears were the realisation of what the contestants actually go through while they’re usually sat chatting, with a glass of wine waiting to be fed
Jays chilli ribs looked absolutely awesome!!! Everyone else was playing catch up from that point on

what’s that then?
When they are waiting to announce the winner of any Masterchef show, they cut between the contestants faces as John/Greg say "and the chef going through/winning is...".
The winner is always the second to last face they cut to.
(My time as a Media Studies teacher tends to throw up observations like this from time to time and now I can't unsee it)
