Hi,
Let's say I bought a Servis washing machine from Empire about 6 months ago and it goes wrong.
Servis went bust about 3 months ago and Empire went bust last week.
Is my manufacturer warranty now useless? Is there a consumer organisation that can help me out in this situation?

No.
It was actually purchased as an insurance replacement through the insurance company.

So in that case [b]you[/b] didn't buy it? Pursue insurance company I'd have said.
