[#10759664]

A riding friend of mine has been involved in an horrific accident whilst out in his bike. He's currently in a coma and we've no idea what the long term prognosis is. He's self employed and has 2 daughters that could do with some financial support in the short term. If anyone can chip in a £ or 2 it would be very much appreciated. Thanks 👍

I’ve dropped a tenner in the pot. Thoughts and prayers of strangers are all very well, but I reckon cash is more useful at this juncture.

As a self employed person prone to doing stupid stuff on a bike without a care in the world I can really appreciate the way this may pan out. Donation made and healing vibes for a rapid return to some form of normality sent.

I've put some money in too for two reasons.

I asked to raise some money on here for a worthy cause a couple of years ago and was greatly supported by strangers.

A truly humbling experience.

And because there but because of the grace of God go I.

I hope this chap recovers.

Cheers Merak - you're absolutely right, the kindness of strangers is truly humbling and STW is at it's best when pulling together to help. Thanks all once again 🙂

I know the justgiving page is a bit light on detail, that's largely because he was on his own when the accident happened so we don't fully know what has happened as yet.

Done. A kind stranger handed my wallet in a week ago and in it was some cash. So I've just donated half to another Dar(r)en. Hope he makes a recovery.

Thanks everyone. He's having an MRI today which should reveal the full extent of his injuries and give a better understanding of the situation 🤞

Thanks everyone, it really is appreciated.

He's no longer in a coma, but he is still very poorly and will have life changing injuries, the extent of which we just don't know at this stage.
