Hi there,

As title, I am looking for a good guide book as I am going to Malaysia and Thailand for three weeks. I've looked into DK and Lonely Planet. I've used DK before and was quite happy with them, but Lonely Planet seems like a good choice too. Or maybe something completely else?

Cheers,
Henni

Lonely planet is always a good bet. It's written more like a reference book so good for looking things up than for inspiration. Rough guide is another option and a bit more wordy/inspirational but I find harder to look things up in.

No experience of the area in question but I always use lonely planet as I find them reliable on the whole.

Might be worth checking when the last edition was. If you have no particular preference maybe see which one has the most recent update.
