Then get a taxi on your return as there will no longer be a car there...

Or look on Last Minute for deals parking on site... We got in there as cheap as off site and it's much less hassle.

I always use the off site car parks.

Pay around £20 for 8 days, never had any problems.

Look for the ones that have a Police Recommendation Award, it means the car park is secure to a certain standard.

I always pick one that lets me park the car myself and keep the keys too, makes me feel easier that way.

Most local villages are wise to people parking to avoid paying the airport fee and the police/local clampers enforce it quite rigorously.

There is a website that lists details of people who "hire out" their driveways, can't for the life of me remember the www though.

Book the airport carpark in advance, it usually works out quite cheap and at least it's convenient.

Indeed! 😆

flybe seem to be working out cheaper for flights home to Norn Oirland so I'll be shifting my preferences from Liverpool to Manchester. Parking duration 3 days to a week.

Might even get to fly into 'George Best International' - have a drink on me....

Fly out of Manchester a lot and use the Airparks at Handforth.
As has been said, free bus to and from the airport station.

I've used this a few times, no problems at all.

As an aside I flew to Dublin a few weeks back on business and was running late, left my car in the short stay all day, company expense however!
Oh how me an my director laughed at that one!

left my car in the short stay all day

...with the added bonus of people opening their car doors into the side of your car, and scratching down the side with their luggage all day...
