Car failed MOT on 'offside outer rear sill seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded'
Garage doesn't have a working welder and 'couldn't remember' any names or numbers of anyone who could help.
Long shot, but anyone recommend me someone rather than me trawl the yellow pages? Any idea of potential costs? Its the only thing the car failed on so keen to get it sorted.
Oh, I've got 10 days to sort or I have to pay another MOT test.
Not in SO but call Tyre Stocks over in Gosport - very very helpful and "mates rates".

Get it welded, get the MOT and then got shot.
Once you're into that level of rot / corrosion its a never ending battle every year getting a rusty car through an MOT. Been there done that.
Depending of course what car it is and why that area has rotted.
Im going to guess land rover discovery 😉
Nope v reg 206.
Really want to keep it as I've had it 10 years or so and its done less than 80k miles. I owe nothing on it and its a great little runner, and I'm not fussed about sticking a dirty bike in it.
Thanks for the suggestion of Gosport, if I can't find something local I'll give them a bell. By the time I factor in time getting to them and time off work it probably won't work out much cheaper
Well found one, £65 and she's back on the road. Apparently it had rotted from the inside out as the outlets had got blocked... first time they'd seen a rusted 206. Nice to be special.
