I know this has done the rounds of the News orgs a few times...

But it seems to get crazier each time.

Obviously about visibility and deterence - but still seems utterly crass. Must have been coincidence - but saw a rapier battery being towed along the motorway yesterday ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Am I alone in thinking this?

Debated to some extent yesterday - split between the " we must take every conceivable precaution" and " its Grandstanding / theatrical posturing of no use at all"

Missed that, then...

Must admit - I was surprised when I saw the rapier being towed up the motorway... thought it might have been for a Falklands anniversary ๐Ÿ˜‰
