Anyone running it this year?
I went to Excel yesterday to register. They were playing the theme music to the BBC coverage and I got all excited.
First time marathon runner and I wish it was starting this afternoon.
Have fun its a great event.
Not running London but doing Chester in October.
I have a place but I will be spectating.
I had a spate of minor illnesses and silly injuries so missed three weeks training out of six from late Feb through March.
I could have got round but it would have been a thoroughly unpleasant experience, probably involving walking. Having done it before a couple of times (and other marathons) I decided there's nothing in it for me to go there and have a bad run. I'll enjoy spectating instead.
Good luck to all those doing it. It's the hard runs and preparation you've already done that will get you round but a little luck helps to!
(Surfer - I'm planning on salvaging what fitness I have and keeping it going for either Chester or Amsterdam)
