It hasn't even been mentioned yet, let alone confirmed, but I suspect I'll be working. Morning shift so at least I get the afternoon to exercise although running and riding are less appealing at this time of year. I'm going to ask to borrow a few weights from the gym so I can do some basic stuff at home as well.

A friend did some guerilla gardening in his colleague's gardens who had not been furloughed and the same for some neighbouring NHS workers whilst he had some time on his hands and they didn't last time. Seemed a good thing to do.

Riding from home more will be on the cards I guess as will walking and training our new rescue dog who is currently slumbering soundly across the other side of our lounge. 🙂

I expect there will be a lot more Airfix & Hornby stuff. Me and the boys have a Provost, a Hawk, a Gnat, a Vampire, a Jetstream and a Spitfire on the go right now (crikey that's a few!) with Phantom, Lancaster, Defiant and Blenheim queued up. My youngest is eyeing up my Blenheim. May have to order him something else to distract him as I fancy doing that one 🙂 Also fancy making a shunting yard for the Hornby stuff that can act as a display. Might slip out for some track tomorrow.

If I can get some wood in then replacing or reinforcing all the plastic shelving in my workshop will be on the agenda along with a rack/space for all the dinghy sails we've accumulated this year with our expanding fleet. Hoping I can get it nice enough to turn into a guitar playing space as well. Not picked mine up for months.

Waiting to see the legislation to see what else can legitimately be done. It's relevant to my volunteer role and also my work and of course want to know what is allowed in law to try and make a plan to make the best of things without taking the wee. Work will be a big feature too.

Even with all that I fear the next month (+?) may drag a bit.

Lockdown 2 the same as lockdown 1

Getting up and running the haulage company that has run straight through this and its been manic with more people expecting home deliveries and expecting they take priority as they are sat at home twiddling their thumbs expectantly. The only saving grace is the roads were quieter at first making the drivers lives easier. After that local miles and trying to reach my yearly target. I guess a quiet un social trip to the Lakes with the bike is out of the question even if I do it to "test my eyesight"

I'll mostly be trying to get a job. Any job will do as I've been unemployed for over a year now whilst trying to get used to new medication for bi-polar. I'm desperate to get back into the bike trade but even a job at Tesco would do me now. In the meantime I'll try to find some motivation to ride locally (I live 5 miles or so from Woburn) and lose some weight

I've only had a handful of days off this year, had booked two weeks for a honeymoon....cancelled. Then just booked a few days in Cornwall for this week....cancelled. Not been away since Feb. Working solidly is starting to take its toll.

Evenings now will be tying flies for the new season, plus for Pike and Grayling. Reading a few more books. Plus whittling some spoons.

Keeping our fingers crossed that sale of Mrs dB & ex's house sale doesn't get scuppered again, really don't want to nurse an empty victorian house through winter. Keeping Mrs dB happy as she guides her parents through the system of dementia care for her dad ☹️ & got a week booked off to deal with new flooring being fitted through all but kitchen and bedrooms. All been designated 2wks off at Christmas, don't think it's going to be a good one.

Pretty sure that Zwift would consider that cheating.

@Vortexracing ..Wow,that's an excellent project. Is it an SR500 or XT?

I have all the bits for my brother's Honda TL125 ,so wil be trying to get that finished over the Winter months.

I also have an old F650 that I might try and get stripped down for painting.

2021 is going to be an 'everything must go' clearout for unused bikes.

Had 10 weeks furlough over summer so find myself with a stack of unused holidays. Trying to carry some over to next year but looking unlikely. Not going to kick up a fuss though, these are strange times and I'm grateful to still be in a job.

Activity wise, in the first lockdown I got plenty running and walking done but the weather was very much conducive to this. This time I think that I am going to have to be a lot more disciplined in my approach. I'm planning a schedule of daily exercise and have a few books lined up for the evenings along with a small stash of model kits.

I'm going to weave a quarter-scale doll of BoJo the Great from my beard clippings and navel fluff.

Unlike the first lockdown where I was furloughed early on and then ultimately made redundant, life this time will probably carry on the same with work (demand increases for beverage cans during times like these).

I'd be looking into some airfix if I had some free time with the dark nights I think.

TBH I think having it all silver makes the motor look bigger.

This is the carb after a aqua blast and rebuild 🙂

I'm going to be going into work five days a week, to share small poorly ventilated rooms with dozens of unmasked people from different households.
