Now we have halfwit shapps saying Truss wanting to cut tax would only have worked if the inflation rate were halved. Don't think he's noticed that when she started to cut tax (richest first) the inflation rate was very low compared to now.

But tax cuts are coming. (They don’t need to be funded so let’s shut up about that? )

Sorry if this had been debated before and I’ve missed it and I’m sure there’s sound economic theory behind the claim but what was it about the unfunded tax cuts that made the city soil itself in the autumn?

Or was it something other than the tax cuts in the budget that scared the horses?

To be fair when you lean further right than general pinochet then everyone looks like a left winger.

It’s a staggering absence of self-awareness that having driven everyone’s mortgage payments through the roof, shredded their pensions and have the Bank of England bail out your car crash, all through your shear monumental stupidity, you still think anyone wants to hear a ****ing word you’ve got to say

Other than the word ‘sorry’, that is, which is notable by it’s absence

The arrogance and self-entitlement of the woman is off the chart

I've gotten mixed up between truth and parody again.

Astonishing, 'too thick to know your own limitations' exemplified. 'I couldn't in all conscience let that happen', it kin happened, and now she wants back in the fray! Just confirms how hard-bitten, vacuous and amoral these R soles are and how desperate they are to ride on the shirttails of the very rich and to be photographed.

Liz Truss blamed a Left-wing economic establishment and her own Conservative Party for her downfall in a 4,000-word essay for The Telegraph on Saturday.

This created a strong debate among readers, with the majority coming out in support of the former prime minister. They suggested she had been the victim of a coup by her own party, which readers argue has been hijacked by Left-wing politicians.

Thank you to the Telegraph.

Can anyone keep tabs on the number of delusional ‘betrayal’ narratives presently doing the rounds amongst Tory MPs?

These bloody all-powerful lefties who are apparently running the country have betrayed Brexit and now they’re brought down not only Boris but Liz too.

The bastards!

I just love the idea that the present Tory party (just this side of neo-fascist) is a secret left-wing movement.

Who knew?

I'm not sure why Labour are too concerned with parliament really.

If some left wing Illuminati are now in control of the financial markets and the Tory party itself surely it's job done?

Perhaps Sunakered is right to be blaming Corbyn! Is be the mastermind behind the Tory party now, pulling the strings of power!?

Oh but if we could push this narrative... Next election comes around, why would you vote for a tory party that's been overtaken by the lefties? No point in voting at all, they're both basically the same party...

Dear god! This interview is just unhinged. She appears to living in some kind of alternative universe

https://twitter.com/haggis_uk/status/1622668199731859456?s=46&t=R8mQCnSk_kP-qpswH_wnwg

Apparently it was pure coincidence that the markets went into meltdown just after she and Kamikwasi announced 45 billion in unfunded tax cuts

Has she been smoking crack? The woman is absolutely insane!

Is it possible the Tories encouraged Truss to do this? Takes the heat off Sunak for a couple of days.

How does reminding everyone why Truss was the shortest serving prime minister in history help the Tories?

I've had sleepless nights over the years, to be honest, over small mistakes I've made in life that have negatively affected others.

Truss? Makes life harder for countless mortgage payers and those trending, draws criticism from world leaders and internationally recognised financial institutions, then goes on to say, "meh, they are too stupid to see my genius."

How can anytime be that lacking in contrition, it's both scary and incredible.

It was Kwasi Kwarteng who made the mistakes, not Liz Truss:

That is a weird suggestion . I have little doubt that Liz Truss is nowhere as dim as she appears to be. She comes across as particularly dim imo. She is hardly likely to be dimmer than that.

I look forward to more staggeringly ill-judged and deluded interventions from wacky liz. It's this lack of self awareness and contrition that will alienate more voters and remind them of the utter shambles of this parliament. Hopefully she'll campaign on her own manifesto come election time where she says the opposite of everything rish! says.

Where’s Spitting Image when you need it. They’d have struggled with mad Lizzie though, just couldn’t model that level of libertarian obsession.

Trouble is spitting image is just like watching the news.
So far down the rabbit hole, gone have you.

she’s truely unhinged thou….more like she’s in a cult.

I doubt she’s dim thou, managed to weedle herself into a good job and made more than most of us ever will and ended up as fleetingly being the PM.

A very successful female role model even but then you just go ‘how?’ as there appears to be none of the characteristics you’d expect of someone who’s in the position she reached.

I think she's an absolute nailed on certainty for what the far left of the Dunning-Kruger graph looks like!

Wildly overconfident in her own knowledge and abilities. Even the lettuce that outlasted her as PM probably has more situational awareness than her!

And anyway, it's only the utter thickos that are left in Government. Boris purged anyone with half a brain and anyone who didn't believe in Brexit so by definition, there's no-one intelligent left. They're clinging desperately to ideology now, it's all the Tories have left. And Truss amply demonstrated what happens when Tory ideology meets reality:
