I remember when that first tune started getting airplay, it was a complete breath of fresh air.. There must be at least a dozen great acts that were directly influenced by what Lily and her old man achieved. I'd be tempted to say she spawned a whole sub genre.. I'm not going to compare her to the greats, and I'm not particularly a fan myself, but denying her any acclaim is probably just a symptom that you're a bit out of touch with modern popular culture..

She's dog rough, though she did look foxy in a GQ shoot years ago...airbrushing I'm guessing.

Sometimes I think she is terrible, and sometimes pretty good. Which is odd. Last time she was terrible though.

I saw a topless pic of her- she looked like a slightly chubby adolescent that'd run round a paddling pool in summer.

I do wonder how much of that is put on. Given that other than a very brief spell on a council estate, she's lived in nice places and gone to some of the best public schools in the UK, I can't imagine that the accent is anything other than a fabrication to give her some credibility. Sort of like Damon Albarn and Ben Elton.

i think she scrubs up well, and she has a reet mucky demeanor. bang on. not familiar with her music tho.

I think she's great and though the camera sometimes does her no favours, she's never claimed to be a supermodel and is a great role model for being pretty normal. Writes some good lyrics and has a very distinctive voice which sometimes sounds great.

And she lives in or near my favourite local riding woods (so I hear).

Can't see why she'd be controversial.

She sings as well as her brother acts.
Their rise to stardom has nothing to do with their father pulling a few strings. No siree.
