Is it really her though or is it a fat middle aged man who's registered the name? Most of the "name" facebook sites I've seen are fansites or at best "official site of", with lots of facebook weirdos posting on it as if they're having a chat with the person.

I'm friends with a few iconic photographers and also some top end wedding photographers, and the fawning is just as bad. Often from people who really should know better.

Northwind alot, like Lewis Hamiltons will be PR types etc managing their 'message' though.

SM's strikes me as being her. Weird but its not marketing 'message/concert/release driven'- just stuff.

Regina Spektor's is like that too... Pages and pages of "LOL I haz a harry potter wand" and every so often "Oh yeah, I have an album out, I should probably promote that".

Still, I'm sure hora's suitably sycophantic when posting on her pages.

In defence of the weirdo posters:

The brother of a friend of mine has quite significant brain damage from birth and another episode a few years back. He appears to be normally functioning if rather annoying, but he's got major problems with comprehending people and relationships, and remembering stuff that you've told him. Quite unsettling actually when you find out how bad it is because at first he seems relatively normal.

Anyway, he's always friending these ridiculously 'hot' and possibly made up people on FB and talking as if he has been having a relationship with them. Mostly they are of the 'please talk to me my darling, I just want to know you're ok' variety as they've blocked or de-friended him.

There must be enough people out there with similar issues to populate the FB pages of famous people.

I 'liked' Jess Ennis' fb page & it appears to be just a marketing dream - 'oh, look my new book is out', 'here are the dates of my book signing, be sure to buy a copy', 'my wonderful watch sponsors have just sent me this amazing watch. Buy yours from xxx for only £yyy

The irony for most of us is we are FB friends with someone who is a an actual friend (once removed so to speak). Or at least you've had online ramblings with.
