Er... nom nom?
What were you searching for when you found that ?
Not pies.
Pasties.
I like motorbikes and cheesecake, but don't think I would want to combine the two.
the northern omerta will be in here in a minute denouncing those "pastry lids" on a mouthful of meat not being real pies.

I may be wrong, but chewing off a pie crust to reveal...
Slightly more appealing.
We in the 'real north' are quite partial to a pie with a lid...
Testify!
Slightly more appealing.
Just think of the crumbs.
Anyone else thinking about gravy dispensing nipples?

I think of little else.
One gravy, one irn-bru
One gravy, one [s]irn-bru[/s] ketchup
then you'd be near enough sorted for a fish and chip supper.

Only if you travelled south.
Ah that sort of pie.
It looks more like Ravioli to me.
Or Rav-areola
No, sorry, thread ruined by someone referring to a stew with a pastry lid on as a pie. It's not a bloody pie! ๐
Nice floury baps though...!
A pie without sides is like a life without laughter. The pie topper and pie in a tin are the work of the devil.
Where's the "like" button for that pie-curious design?
It ain't that easy to get a decent pie in Wigan, BTW.

Had a good mate in Wigan, drifted apart now, but used to go there for weekends, was always great - and always ended up at a chippy in Hindley getting fish, chips, mushy peas, all covered in gravy.
Happy memories. ๐
The yoof on the shift meal delivery van told us it was steak pie one night .so got some and asked where the puff pastry was to be told there was none (ok so its a stew then we said. no he replied it's a steak pie the chef said so) after that I have to laugh at people that get annoyed about a bit of puff pastry with stew not being a pie.
