Dude, they are not pepperpots. These are pepperpots.

Source. I had an XR2. Best car I ever had.
The mighty Rover

Not iconic but it is cool

Mk1 Granada.
You've got to do the music too.

I mean, allegedly, anyway
If we are getting tenuous with the cars then surely the might Ford Capri 3.0S from The Professionals beats the lot?

Soooooooo wanted one of them as a kid.
I pass a black one of these on my way home most days

Best car I've ever owned 🙂

I once saw a Police Capri parked upside down after it failed to make a right turn and clipped the central kerb. (@DerekStarship - Southbound on the A56 at the corner of Hilton Lane).
Very cool... in a straight line.
The Mk1 Mexico was used way back in the '70's with extra gussets ooh err, missus to save the shell from splitting as the bounced up on the kerbs chasing the robbers in their Transit vans
The problem with the Ford Capri was the paving slab / bag of sand for the boot wasn't a factory-fitted option.

I bring the big wallowy (sp) heap of *&^%

According to my Dad (70's copper) anyway. He hated these things, along with the Capri's as they were damn awful to drive.
Nothing out cools the Alfa Romeo 105 Ti saloon

Daimler Dart 250. V8 with a fibreglass body.
Saw one of these in action on the Dutch motorways when I was a kid. They police probably had donkeys in Dubai at that time. The drivers understandably wore helmets and had the lid off.

Had one of these

Miami Vice anyone?

Megane
SM and Alpine
The mighty Wartburg

How the **** is that meant to offer any protection?
I've been in the back of one of these a few times. (Cant tell you why!)

It's in your user name, you're a... . ;). Having the crimestopers number on the side is hilarious.

Needs to be pushing a crap Dalek along for maximum iconic-ness, though.
If we're allowing fictional ones:

The worst panda car ever was the circa 1983 fleet of 3 door Mini Metros bought by Strathclyde. Not easy forcing someone into the back seat who didn't want to go there. OK for a runabout but never a patrol car.
Can't find any pics of the Strathclyde ones but this gives an idea.

Best car I’ve ever owned 🙂
First car I ever owned! Circa 2000. 2500s, cream with brown vinyl roof. Gutted had to sell it.

Much favoured mofe of transport for Manchesters gangsters. Ex-police Volvo's

@cougar is that Skid Mark’s car? I remember my mum telling me that a manual transmission was a novelty in the USA when I asked why there were so many shots of Mark changing gear.
🤣 It is indeed, yes.
Let’s have some odd, cool, iconic and awful police cars of yesteryear and today ... and tomorrow:
Rumor was that the Cumbria police Sierra's and Sapphire's all had bags of sand in the back to keep them down on the road. There was one story of one going to rescue crew of an overturned police Sierra on Shap in a gale, only for the second to get blown off the road.
Another missed the bend over the bridge at Lazonby only to end up like this hanging above the Eden.
