It's a LG 32" bought when they were about 1k now going for about £350.
Anyway the power supply has gone I think. The little red light keeps trying to power on and go green, but keeps clicking for ages.
Then sometimes it does go green but still no TV.
Then other days it comes on afetr about an hour of clicking.
Any ideas?
You'll have to give it to me so I can enjoy poking around inside and probably not fix anything....
In all honesty these days I think they're practically throw-away items but it'd be worth checking with LG themselves and a local repair shop found in Yell.

you're that keen to watch tv?
I had a similar issue with my Samsung TV, it was a set of 4 capacitors that are known to fail on the board inside. Instructions via Google, bits via Maplins, all fixed and cost about £4 tops. And I'm really not an expert on these things.
Type the precise model no into Google and have a look.
Some hints on google suggest the ADC board in them is prone to failure.
iDave, it's a case of giving it one more chance, then another, then another and so on.
My mate had a similar incident and spoke to his insurance company. They gave him a new tv of equivalent spec.
Its daft these days - i cracked the display on the back of my Olympus digital camera - it still worked okay but was no longer waterproof. The camera cost me £80 brand new. Olympus wanted £78 to repair it and my local camera shop had a minimum £150 repair charge!
My car stereo head unit cost £180 quid, Sony wanted £384 to repair it and offered to bin it for me lol.
