[Closed] Laptop upgrades in London - any recommendations?

My nearly 2 year old Dell laptop is working fine but could probably do with a (DDR2 SDRAM) RAM upgrade to 2GB, and also a faster graphics card to replace the existing low end ATI (Radeon Xpress 1150 256mb) one, assuming the latter will work OK with the existing components.

I know PC World do RAM upgrades, and might do graphics cards too. Have STWers got any recommendations for other places I could try, ideally in SW London / central London / Tottenham Court Road etc.?

Should I expect any problems with compatibility if I go ahead and change things?

Thanks....

I always do it myself using Crucialmemory.com

guaranteed compatible memory. And usually video guides to help if youve not done it before.

I'd be surprised if you could upgrade the graphics card. More often that not, it's all integrated in.

Yes, it is integrated, unfortunately, as I've just found out. Damn.

The minimum graphics card spec for one game I'm interested in is an ATI Radeon X1550 256mb, but I'm not sure how much better this is than my existing (and non-replaceable) Radeon X1150 256mb card. I might try it anyway.....

I'm trying to find specs for the X1150 on AMD's website now but without success.

It's too late now but I wish I'd known more when choosing the laptop spec. Still, I'll know better for next time....
