My XP laptop has stopped playing sound. It only affects Windows sounds and Inter Explorer. Sound driver is Realtek HD, the Realtek demo plays sound as does Itunes but if I go into 'Sounds and Audio Devices' in Control Panel the play button is greyed out.
The Realtek HD playback device is selected and I have also downloaded some Registry fixed but still nothing.
