Reminds me of Bowie and Alladin Sane i.e. the Lady Gaga character is obviously just that, a persona she adopts on stage. Compare her acceptance speeches at the Brits with the performance. Unlike the rest of the drug/alcohol induced hyperactivity she came across as genuinely bashful.
