THIS is provocative... on a hill on the Turkish side of Cyprus, visible from Nicosia, is a massive illuminated Turkish flag that winks on and off like a kebab shop sign:

The Associated Press quotes a defence ministry official as saying the South has agreed to allow Christian groups to light a further two towers this year.
Religion, politics and the military, its a heady mix of stupidity and idealism that pretty much guarantees death and destruction.
