Er, seems about normal for the re-enactment scene to be honest. Lost count of the fractured ribs & bruises i've collected over the yrs.
I've been hit with axes, had multiple arrows hit me and been hit with the wadding from a hand cannon.
Armour works.

That's WITH armour! still hurts some. Those guys aren't that skillful, just vicious especially the Eastern Europeans.
muddydwarf was talking about his cycle commute. He's never been hurt while reenacting 😉
Mindboggling. That's what it was.
Quite normal really, just a slightly more intense version of stuff i used to do every summer weekend. Go stay in interesting castles, meet interesting people and clobber them!
