My GF wants to plan our new kitchen and I was wondering if anybody knows of some good kitchen planning software that you don't download from B&Q and such.

If anyone has some they're not using or have used and don't need anymore I'll quite happily part with some drinking vouchers for it

Cheers

Ken

We tried to do this before getting our kitchen designed and realised it was a waist of time.

Just sketch you ideas on a piece of paper, write down the room dimensions and go visit 2 to 3 kitchen places. Get them to do the designs for you.

The ikea one is pretty good.

SketchUp is plenty good enough, and it's free - measure & draw your kitchen, draw up the units (best to make them components) then fiddle to your heart's delight.

second the Ikea one.
You can download and run it offline.

You have to use their set unit sizes but since they cover such a wide range of dimensions you should be able to accomodate any lay out you want.
