Didn't think this one through and failed to notice the narrow top frame...
I am confident whichever solution the top one is in the other look best as they are. But i need opinion on options one and two or three (push to pop out doohicky) or possibly even 4 (make a super wide one that fits the fron and ends up as a handy towel rail (which gets in the way of the drawers below)
Bonus lola content to illustrate how the kitchen would typically be viewed... Partially obscured by greedy bastard
Baws option two is supposed to be handle in the centre of the top drawer.
I am really not sure what you are asking here and the pics are very small

This. What did you take the photos with, 2002?
But anyways, handle in the middle of each section, obvs.

Have you been in the pub since knocking off on Thursday?
Depends on whether the drawer will have cutlery that you access regularly ( the most ergonomic option) or napkin holders from some obscure aunt that only come out once a year (the most aesthetically pleasing option).
I was getting pestered by the dog to take her out and hope dypu lot would have an answer
Steveb gets it.
The top rail of the top drawer is narrows so if i split the difference and put the handle halfway down the toprail its very close to the worktop and the hob and looks a bit shit.
If it was like steveb top drawer it would be solid and sit smack bang in the middle and look fine. It will look a bit weird in the middle of a shaker when the rest are on the rail.
I am so bored of kitchen building.
I'd put it central personally. Looks daft at the top.
What I've found is you'll agonise over it for ages, ask on here and there'll be 10 pages, a flounce, a ban and your garden will suffer at the hands of a forumite with frozen sausages then no one will notice bar you and you'll get on with life.
In the middle. It only looks odd cos you’re sat there looking at it, in two weeks time you’ll forget about it and move on to wondering how we can send people to the moon but appliance doors are still fixed on the way they are!

Was my initial thought but could decide if middle was any less daft.
Er, all the handles should have been in the center of the drawers.
the top one should definitely not be at the top of the drawer as it will be hard to use.

You do not put handle in the middle of shaker drawers thats absolutely mental speak*. They should, like the doors, be placed in the posts and rails to suit the frontal they are attached to. Thats the equivalent of putting handle in the middle of a glass door.
Whats more it would put the bottom handle ridiculously low.
AND the fitting guide agrees with me.
*With the exception of the stupid blood drawer i have to deal with now.
🤷🏻♂️ you are of course right. I’d get slab panels for the top drawers now and put the top handle in the center for usability. More immediate expense, but you’d then be living with something beautiful rather than something irksome*.
With the panel/stile/rail drawer design for the top drawer you’ve backed yourself into a corner of usability vs aesthetic rigor with “You do not put handle in the middle of shaker drawers thats absolutely mental speak”. Nonetheless I’d buck tradition for having a drawer you can open and close with ease rather than trapping fingers or scrabbling for the handle

my own handle history included bringing a two door tall cupboard from a previous house. The aesthetic there had a shorter handle on the top door than the lower door. In the new house we got the same units but the upper cupboards looked better with longer handles, like the lower cupboard door. We didn’t bother changing the old cupboard to match. Nearly 20 years on I only notice it occasionally. 😖
