Haven't seen much anthropomorphism yet though.

I like dogs, me. Lovely animals. They have unique personalities
It's there. Just got to be prepared to see it
Saw a bloke yesterday with a t-shirt that said 'violence solves everything'.
I din't like his face. Shooduv given him a kicking tbh.
Well what other word could I have used then Trailmonkey cleverclogs bloody illegal footpath rider I'm telling the forest warden.

😯 don't tell the warden elf, i love dogs me
I think that was just a bad choice of word. There just isn't an equivalent word for personality where dogs are concerned. And given that dogs do have different personalities, for want of a better word, there's no anthropomorphism there for me. Just like on this thread, just differing levels of toughness with which people believe dogs should be handled.
Junkyard - is that pic really what you wanted to post?
😆 @ Junkyard's pic 😀
yes though in fairness I am not sure why 😕

Sounds like a bit of plagiarism from one of Uncle Joe's quotes :
"Death solves all problems - no man, no problem" Joseph Stalin
He once lived here in Tower Hamlets you know. On a street I once lived on.
I am taller than he was, by just half an inch.
Is that a bollock in an egg cup?
Why? 😕
People are funny, some expect dogs to act like robots, its actually very difficult and certainly beyond may capabilities to train a dog not to run up to another dog without running the risk of it doing it a few times, same applies to bikes I suppose. Dogs are animals and sometimes do things wrong, which is why mine is currently sporting some stiches following an accident with a German sheppard last week. It went for a playful nip when Kea went to run off. Its a shame but these thigs happen. People these days seem to get so angry if they are mildly incoveneanced like a dog getting in the way of their bike or whatever.
Possibly. Though whilst out running last week a dog went for a playful 'nip' of my ankle. It got a playful boot to the head in return.
'S funny...I posted a thread ages ago about a collie repeatedly chasing me and nipping at me when I was out for a run. The consensus was to MTFU. Which shows more about the STW herd mentality than anything else... 🙂
Same old rants about dogs I see, as for kicking one, if you do this and get mauled then don't say no one warned you, as if you attack a dog, and it cannot get away and decides to fight rather than run, you are in serious trouble, as they are generally faster, stronger and tougher than you and believe or not if you attack the dog, it isn't its fault if its just defending itself.
So if you booted one and didn't get badly bitten it was because the dog decided not to bite, not because of your chuck norris like skillz.
As for someone not controlling a puppy (and a dog no matter what size, under 18 months is a puppy) FFS get a grip and grow up.
edit: re-reading that, I think I should add I am strongly against people kicking dogs, however feel free to kick stupid owners as if their dog is so aggressive that it randomly tries to bite people they should be managing it (using a muzzle or keeping it on the lead).

Dogality?
Caninality?
So if you booted one and didn't get badly bitten it was because the dog decided not to bite, not because of your chuck norris like skillz
Your correct it decided not to bite, because it's remembered the consequences.
Kicking the possible owner, a small girl with 3 other dogs that she also couldn't control didn't seem an option. I just want to go about my business without random out of control dogs going for my ankles.
Dogality?Caninality?
A valiant effort to be oblique molly, but they're both new to me.
Given your position in the St Albans 10k IM, I'm not surprised you decided not to run for it

Yup - the usual dog owners refusing to take responsibility for the actions of their badly trained mutts 😉
