FFS. Grow up in London and you see just how racist it is. In fact, if you are not white, you see how racist England is. It's obviously not everyone, but it's disturbingly common.

I dunno, maybe it's something you only appreciate once you're on the receiving end of it. I get it both ways as I'm mixed raced 😆 though gladly it's been a while.

Kelis has made some good music and some crap too, but that doesn't really matter does it? She's also pretty hot when she's not being strange, but that also doesn't matter.

If you have a passing understanding of Urdu/Punjabi you'll also be a shocked at the way men of a certain country talk about white people and women of any colour.

Then theres mixed relationships. I've encountered a fair few racist idiots just because the girl is 'their property' (apperently).

Its not just racism, since moving to Germany and making the occasional trip back, its surprising how many dirty looks I get when people clock the German number plate on my car, or event the deliberately loud "****ing Germans" muttered.

Its actually the younger generations that are the worst, those that actually experienced war seem to have more open minds.

I work next to a Punjabi chap who's a homophobe and thinks all black people are stupid.

I used to work in an industry with lots of temp staff, the majority of which were non-white. Apart from my boss and his boss, I encountered no racists attitudes from my fellow white workers (OK, I lie, a few of the white temps from upper South Africa (i.e. not Cape Town) were pretty damn nasty), presumably because most of us grew up in a very cosmopolitan UK. The racism of some of the East Asian temps (anti-black), and the black temps (anti-white) had to be seen to be believed.

If I catalogue every person I've ever known by racist attitudes, without doubt the most racist would be black. Ditto second and third place, probably fourth too. I've also known blacks that were not racist at all, so it's certainly not across the board.

I occasionally work with a Ukranian guy who is the most racist person I've ever met. He's massively anti-semitic, thinks black people are no better than animals and says English men are all "wet".

Teh ironing is, he's off work right now after claiming he'd suffered racist abuse from some other members of staff 😯 You couldn't make it up.

User-removed. The ironic thing is your workmate is probably now adept at work politics and realises he's onto a nice earner.

Her story seems completely unconvincing... An American's idea of what english racism would be like. Course that doesn't mean there's not racists all over the place but I call shenanigans on this particular incident.

Bit odd this "I'm in London all the time" but the incident she talks about happened in Spain so British people are racist . And she only comes clean when sir Boris offers to ride to her defence.

Nearly. If anyone (victim or otherwise) perceives it to be racist it will be classified as a racist [i]incident[/i]. There still has to be a crime before any charges can be libelled. Saying or doing something racist is not in itself automatically a crime.

I'm with the Race card being played school of thought.

Reasons
1) Non EU passport
2) Mixed Races of customs officers
3) Attitudes like that in public servants are virtually extinct in the UK, especially in public facing roles.
4) Inaccurate description of irate Brit speak.
