Lets face it,compared with Kate Moss, there are more attractive women working the tills in most Lidls. But there is some bizarre idea of "bone structure" that fashionistas love.

I'll believe she is an icon when I see her nailed to the wall of a Russian Orthodox church.

Only cos its free, moaned enough about paying for yourself on the clipper so paying for your bird as well would be a real non starter

Heh! I'm a classy date, me... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Once took a girl to a 'nice quiet pub' one evening. 'Oh, they've got the football on; what surprise...'

Was a successful date, funnily enough. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've never known anyone say they were into Bryan Ferry when they were young and trendy. Prince, fair enough. But Bryan Ferry??

When I was as young and trendy as I ever was back in the mid 70s Ferry was as cool as cool can be and the albums were great. No question. Even as a hard core metal fan I thought Ferry was cool.

Prince is and always will be a bellend

The thing is, if Marilyn were alive today I reckon she'd still be an icon...there is something mesmerising about her.
Kate? She may well look good in her clothes, but I wouldn't say she's glamorous.

Gosh, what a response and, my, such differing opinions!

OK, I'll admit I have a problem with the word "glamorous" as there is no way I would apply it to Kate Moss. Actually The Southern Yeti used the word "fashion" icon which I consider is more appropriate.

Marilyn Monroe was beautiful, glamorous and sexy. I can't actually think of anyone that comes close to that now.

Catherine Zeta Jones is glamorous - such elegance and poise at those big showbiz events.

Let's talk about Bryan Ferry ... I have seen him a few times including back in his Roxy Music days. In fact at the gig Jerry Hall was on stage and, my goodness, she was pretty amazing. Bryan Ferry is Mr Cool - he can make a dark suit and white shirt look incredibly sexy. He may now be 60 odd but his gf is in her 20's. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

ron jeremy - you really are such a flirt. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Back to the guys and gals.

I thought Ferry was cool.

My case resteth, M'Lud.

Prince is and always will be a bellend

Possibly, but he's made some far better music than Ferry could ever hope to. And he had young girls lusting after him, not just middle-aged women.

He may now be 60 odd but his gf is in her 20's

Nothing to do with his bank balance, of course. Oh no....

The Woolwich Ferry has been going for one hundred and twenty one years. Still gets fit young birds on it.

Elf - not wanting to pick a fight with you but when I saw Bryan Ferry in the 70's, I was a fit young bird. And I lusted after him. Oh yes, I was a teenager alright. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Edit: And I still lusted after him a couple of years ago when I saw him. What's age got to do with it???

[i]burlesque performer. [/i] code for when fat birds take their kit off.

Munro couldn't act, couldn't sing, and that face was plastic surgery, and she was fat.

We all have a different take on beauty

nick - I didn't realise she'd had plastic surgery. OK, she couldn't sing but she had the 'whole package' as it were.

Yes, good job we're all different!

I don't think Moss is good looking but she is an icon. I'd sooner Kylie. Surprised no one has mentioned, Jolie? Agree madonna has been biggest influence and spawned many copycats.

I have to say that having actually met the lovely Miss D VonTeese (both of us were working at Erotica in 2008) and sharing a glass of champagne afterwards with her and her 'people' she is stunning in real life, without loads of make up, and she is a proper genuine person as well and a good laugh, oh and most defineatley not a biffa!!

Patsy Kensit looked very glamorous (had to concentrate on the spelling there!) last night and this evening on Stictly come dancing.

However I don't think any of today's woman come close to Marilyn or Liz Taylor in their heydays.

Bryan Ferry was/is totally cool and sex-on-legs!(With a sad taste in icons!)

As a huge music fan of both Prince and Roxy music (bryan Ferry). There is no contest, Ferry wins hands down.

she's a skinny coke-head what hangs around with knob-ends

I think that pretty much sums up my opinion of Kate Moss.

Not ubiqutious but a really attractive woman IMHO.

Kate Moss will never be an icon, and she is definitely not glamorous. I'll wager that 99% of the pictures you will see of her will have her looking like a skank or a junkie. She has reached the level now of being totally recognised so she can earn a crust doing not very much, indulging her passion of ****ing anyone in a band or in film.

Think Bryan Ferry is was off the mark with that one. Can't think who would qualify though.
