...at the tender age of 39.
She was serious too, no ID, no sale.
No beer either, just had cash and no wallet on me 🙁
Take it as a compliment 😳
As nice a compliment as it is, it isn't half irritating! Especially when the person denying you access to beer is younger ( or appears to be) than you.
younger ( or appears to be) than you.
Are they allowed to sell it then?
Trust me, it'll always be a compliment.
yeah but were you trying to get concessions rate
Yes, take it as a compliment.
On her side, if caught out by Police/Trading Standards, she would have to pay an £80 personal fine, upto £5000 fine for her employer, potentially losing her job (gross misconduct type stuff), at the very least a final warning. Most employers wouldn't support her if she was caught out by Police/Trading Standards, employers have to appear to be very tough on underage sales. Test purchasing is now commonplace and particularly targeted by TS in school hols/bank hols etc.
I'd be ecstatic!!!
I got ID'ed a few weeks after my 30th Birthday, told the doorman on the bar we were going into he'd made my day as I showed him my driving license proving my age! He looked rather embarrassed...
But at 39 though... WIN!!!
Trust me, it'll always be a compliment.
Even when it's because you like Wee Jimmy Krankie ?
Even when it's because you like Wee Jimmy Krankie ?
WTF are you wittering about ernesto?
It's cryptic DS.
Happens to me all the time in the US - I'm 41!
My GF got ID'ed recently (aged 32) - she had no ID so came back out to the car and asked me to go get it, so I did, but even though I had ID I was refused too as they realised I was buying it for her! RIdiculous.
I had to give back beer at the checkout a month or so ago because I had no ID. I'm 29. Fair enough there policy was if you look 25 we'll ID you but really, I don't think I look like I'm 17 any more so a little common sense?
Lucky...... Lucky............
