My first "nice" motor, so treated myself. Cheaper than you might think. 57-plate, £8k.

Had a 2.0D for nearly 7 years now, nearly 140k miles on it and my brothers buying it when I emigrate soon. Servicing is pricey but it still feels better than other new cars I've had in the past, even at this mileage. That link above is very helpful in pinpointing any problems when they (rarely, in my experience) occur.
