Which was "sensible advice for a very confused girl". As we are heading to morzine/les gets as part of a road trip we are also going to stop by Lake Geneva. Is there any good riding around there?

By the time you are by the lake, you are nearly in Morzine - it would probably be the closest obvious biking place I think.

There is some good riding on the Saleve near Geneva, cable car up to the top as well.

Saleve is great for a day - as is Montreux - Rochers de Naye, then Bex and Villars a bit further round.
