2/ Let's leave the discussion about depression for another time.
Only knew the name from here but it is clear he was the light of so many peoples lives. Condolences to his family at this sad time..
How about a bench and a plaque on/ near his favourite trail?

Blimey! What a shame to read this post. My thoughts are with his family and if we can do anything as a collective, then I am in.
Such a lot of you have helped me in my darkest times not so long ago and I thank you for that. A shame that we couldn't have helped Jahwomble the same way.

He was one of my favourites, always had an amazing sense of humour and very humourous.
He lived very near us and I always thought that one day I'd bump into him on the trails.
All my thoughts to his wife and family at this sad time.
This is terrible news. The forum has lost one of its very best posters.

I read this post after reading on another post that he'd made so many people laugh. What a terrible shame. My heart bleeds for his family x
I read this when it was first posted and only had two or three replies. AT the time I was staggered and didn't feel I could write anything that would adequately describe what I felt. Several days on, I still can't. I like Jahwomble, he seemed like a decent bloke and I think it's a crying shame - quite literally, my missus was bawling her eyes out when she heard, and I was close. RIP, fella.

My condolences to all jahwombles family and friends, I lost a brother in law in similar circumstances and know what it can do to a family. Remember the good times.
Just reading back over some of his posts - definitely one of the good guys.

Absolutely gutted i didnt know anything about this till now, somehow i missed it, so sad for his family, wife and freinds in life and on here.
Please anyone else in the same situation ask for help or just talk, look at Horas thread, we will listen and help.

Words are inadequate, I hate learning that someones life was so hard for them to bare, that the only way out that they see, is to end it all.
I hope that you find peace and that your friends and family find the strength they need to get through this difficult time.
I can't begin to imagine how hard this must be for all those left behind.
Everyone reading this who is in a dark place. Hang in there with every bit of strength you can muster.
Every time one of us is lost, it's makes it so much harder for the rest of us to continue.

just logged on for the first time in a week and read this very sad news. this has reminded me of a friend and club rider, Tim, who also rode the same path, which was very saddening.
may peace be with you, jahwomble and let your family and friends have strength in this dark hour.

What a cruel tragedy. Good luck to him and I pray that his friends and family are coping with it. My thoughts are with you, wishing you well.
What can we all do to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen so often? We all do our best, but this sort of thing just keeps occurring. Its beyond individuals to sort this out. I'll speak to my contacts in the NHS to see what can be done and post it up on the forum.
RIP Jahwomble. I bet you were a great guy, who just had a bit of bad luck.
