Been struggling to know what to write. As someone who cares deeply about someone living with Manic Depression/Bipolar Disorder, this has touched me even though I didn't know Jahwomble personally.

I feel very much for his wife and family and hope they can learn to live well with the gaping hole this awful and much misunderstood mental illness has left in their lives by taking him away from them.
All my very best,
Jo

As has been said, really enjoyed Jahwomble's take on things. Hope his family find the strength to get through the next wee while and soon they'll remember the good times they shared. RIP.

Almost lost for words here.

I'm saddened to hear of his passing, and touched by the sentiment shown here.

For personal reasons that many on here know about me, this is all close to home.

Still lost for the words i want to say..

Sleep well Jahwomble. Be at peace and ride free.

Shane.

I, like many, have been struggling to find my words. As a fellow sufferer of bipolar disorder this tragic news has touched a raw nerve.

I didn't know Ray (Jahwomble) in person, nor do I believe had we exchanged any significant banter on the forum, but I always took a moment to read his posts. Secretly, and without him knowing, each time I took away a small amount of inspiration to help me fight my own daily demons.

RIP Jahwomble

Gary

Just to let you all know, I have forwarded this link to Liz. I'm sure it will help her with all the support and considerate things people have said about Ray.

That's awful news for his family. I never knew Ray but my thoughts are with you all at this devastating time.

As someone who has lost a brother with mental illness and suicide my heart goes out to you all. As a GP I find it unimaginable that people can sink to such depths of despair that the only option is to take your own life. I hop he is at peace now.
Al

This tragedy and several others I have encountered has made me realise just how awful depression must be to takes ones own life especially knowing you are leaving loved ones behind

Like many others I have in the past dismissed sufferers as needing a kick up the arse. This has brought it home again that it really is a very serious illness that needs far more understanding and research undertaken into the causes and treatment

RIP and may it enlighten others to the possible tragic consequences

I saw this the other day & didn't really see the benefit of adding another condolence to the list.
I didn't know Jahwomble, but have seen his posts frequently on here.

I just realised though that even though I don't have particularly eloquent to say/write, it is something respectful that I should do....

It's times like this that make you take stock of things.
My sincere condolences to Jahwomble's family & friends.
I feel a Mint Sauce-esque cartoon based on Mother Nature, rolling fields, blue skies & fluffy clouds would be appropriate......
Strange thing, the internet.........

RIP Ray. This bought back some bad memories from earlier on this year when an old school friend of mine ended his life without leaving any clues as to why. Very sad news, and deepest sympathies go out to all his family and friends.
