Anyone else find this guy incredibly irritating? Has he gone to some weird language school teaching random inflexion? How the hell has he got on telly

He kind of reminds me of David Tennant with a speech impediment.

Although, I suspect Robert Peston actually has/had one, and works around it. Which would account for his weird inflections.

The best thing Robert Peston did is move from the BBC so he no longer infects the news. Quite dire and a lightweight journalistically.

The affected delivery is designed to cover the shallowness of the content - except when he had insiders during the financial crisis. Kin ell a career based on insider info!!!

At least his back to politics - totally out of his depth when an economics correspondent

NO he speaks normally that his is presenting voice apparently ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Off air he does not do it - he is on the radio 4 teenage diary thing and he talks about it then

To be fair, it's better than a career built on press releases.

He just happened to be in the right place at the right time to break one of the biggest UK financial stories in decades.
