That guy is beginning to annoy me with his aggressive style of interviewing, same as that guy on CH4 or 5. They keep shouting, interrupting and being sensationalist with their comments/reporting.

Humphrys on Radio 4 in the morning is the worst, he quite often asks a question then interrupts again before the other person can get a single word out. Snow on Channel 4 news is nearly as bad.

It annoys me no end too, endemic in the field it seems. I listen to 5-Live most of the time commuting, & they're all at it. Generally switch off as get quite enough aggression / intimidation at work. At least half the 'innocent' interviews end up with them trying to enforce the reverse view on the interviewee.
I don't mind if the opponent is genuinely trying to cover something up, but it seems things have to be sensationalised, rather than debated.

Seems to be the modern way of TV News, best to read it online these days.

Try listening to George Galloway on talksport. A different level entirely.

Eddie Mair and Evan Davies are much more effective and easier to listen to.

I think Humphrys is great, especially with smarm-mongers like Mandelson. He asks a question and interrupts when it's clear they're not actually answering it.

you have a point there bikemonkey - anyone who doesn't shout insults over any answer Mandelson gives is wasting their time on air
