I like the muffins thing though
Ahem, mini muffins.
Let's not get carried away here. Or be a minute after 9:15.

With the advent of people having instant access to cameras in mobile phones meaning that UFO, Lock Ness and Yeti stories can no longer reasonably be believed I'm guessing the same people that used to peddle that bollox are now moving on to conspiracy theories?
I don't believe the "official" line proselytised either with regard to the attacks, nor do i believe in such an overreaching identifiable group as Al-Qeada, years ago it was very much an us vs them scenario with regard to the West vs Communism, that nationalistic common drive to a large extent was extinguished in the emergent 1980's and as we know our western capitalist nature (or at least the nature of a few powerful conglomerates) abhors a vacuum so what better to fill it than an unwinnable war and a sense of fear in our populace?.
I wouldn't say i am cynical as such but i do consider myself realistic, no-one other than myself has my interests at heart, certainly not our Democratically elected government, and i do not believe we live in a democracy either as a true democracy is free from party politics but i guess that is an argument for another thread.

Although not believing in the these conspiracy theories I should also add that I am in favor of the complimentary coffee and mini muffins offer.
matt - don't know the details of the sacking, but you can't call yveta pneumatic - she's positively skeletal. Also Fwiw did you know that "pneumatic" was first used in that sense in Brave New World?(*)
* - possibly as factually correct as many posts on this thread.
My housemate has been right on this again recently.
I keep getting told that all of the information I have received from mainstream media sources is a load of lies and is controlled by people trying to decieve us.
When I ask him for his sources he says 'the internet'.
I assume that only the most clever among us can determine which of these unregulated and unverified 'news sources' can be trusted, and which are complete bollocks made up by some lonely teenager in his bedroom.
My housemate has also stopped drinking tap water because of the fluorine put in by the government to keep us sedate.
And can you please all state your sources of strictly information?
Is Yveta the new Russian? (yes re stature)
Karen also falls in the non pneumatic brigade, and is another personal fave.
I heard Putin had to pick up the red telephone to sort out the Aliona issue, the American's threatened a veto and Jacklin was the nobody-gets-hurt-much diplomatic compromise.
But there are no winners when positions get so entrenched.
