5k 13 months ago with £175 won. Although my s&S isa would have netted 12% but thats already full for the year.
I've had some PBs for a year now
My winnings have been £25, £25, £50, £75, £50 so I'm doing slightly better than the 1.4% "average".
I'd get less return in my current account and it's quickly available if a rainy day arrives
Look at this https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bonds-calculator/
Tell a lie, £25 this month. 1st ‘prize’ ever.
£150 today. Not bad - will take that...
over 50 years and not a cent...
This is useful too (bottom half of page)
Well, despite my suspicion a month ago that my luck was all used up and I should cash them in, I only go and drop £100 this month too. And that wasnt 4 x £25, it is an actual £100, apparently. So I'll hang on in there after all.
Thanks for reminder 2x25 here. A neighbour won 100k ages ago when 100k would probably have bought a house.
Well done on 1x100 above I ve never had more than 25s. Keep meaning to track the annual return so will do and post.
Good luck all
Zilch this time, £25 last month
2*25 for me this month. Nice to get back to winning after 3 months of no prizes.
25 quid for me and 25 quid for wife.
They've reduced the odds of winning:
Changes will take effect from May hitting premium bonds and savings accounts
I saw that; odds per draw dropping from 1:24500 to 1:26000
What does that do to the theortical yield on premium bonds? Down of course, but has anyone worked it out yet?
£25 for me this month. The drought is over!!
Decreasing from 1.4% to 1.3% equivalent.
Can you get a better rate from any other savings account?
What does that do to the theortical yield on premium bonds?
The odds are, from May, 1:26,000. The 1.3% quoted above (again from May) includes the big prizes (including the £1m prize) so is not, in my eyes, truly representative. I calculate my assumed annual yield as follows:
£25 [smallest prize] x 1/26,000 [odds of winning] x 12 [twelve draws a year] x 100 [to make into a percentage] = 1.15%
This is tax free and better/ comparable to what I can find elsewhere, but with the (small) chance of winning a £1m prize. I would add that as an investment it is far more reliable if you have close to the maximum of £50k invested.
Didn't win the million but won 2 small prizes.
£25 - my lowest for quite a while, but still better than a kick in the chops!
No email from ERNIE yet so assuming it’s a ‘no’ here :-/
£25 for me, my first win since investing in Dec (too late for Dec draw).
Even with my extra bonds purchased still nothing.
Mrs Zip £25
Keeping my losing streak going - nothing again.
Another 3 x £25
£25 but needed the £1,000,000 so next month then
£50.
Another £75 <drops mic>
1x £50. First time I've had a £50 prize.
50 squids (2 x 25)
agent million couldn't find our house yesterday either it seems.
2 x £25 for me. 0 x anything for mrs.kcal.
£0 !!
Nowt here again.
Zilch
I’ve had 200 since I was born in 1959. Never won anything.
Posted 1 year ago
£50!
Mind you, I did buy £20k of bonds last month.
Agent Million practicing extreme social distancing yet again. And Agent £25. Nuffink.
Well a little good news in a shit period. 2* 50 quid again this month
2x25
Winning every month now consistently
Nothing again.
I’m pulling my money to buy some solar panels. That way I will win every day.
Mrs Zip 2 x 25
£0 according to the app
I'm sure Agent Million got lost trying to find the house yesterday
Zilch again, Mrs M won £25 last month.
1 x£25
4 x £25
TBH I am slightly ambivalent about checking these days since the chance of winning big pale into insignificance compared to catching the you know what. I’m superstitious enough to believe that finding out I’d won £1 million would be quickly followed by my imminent demise. Glass half full man me.
1 x £25 to keep my winning streak going.
1 x £25 for me too.
1 x £25 - Right I'm off to the pub to spend it. Oh hang on ...
