I got to ride 200k in the sun yesterday.
Today I got a poached egg and bacon on toast a card and 3 tins of beer.
All in a top weekend 🙂
Revell MV-22 Osprey and MH47E Chinook kits. *Very* happy. It's almost like my children know me.
Some nice handmade cards from the kids and some bargain chocs from 'Barrys Bargains' (better than it sounds). Otherwise normal ish day off riding with the kids, chopping down trees and getting my first haircut since lockdown from the wife, who's done quite a good job even if it's just a 2 grade buzzcut.
A pair of socks
A bottle opener
A toblerone
A chocolate orange
A box of heroes
A bag of pork scratchings
A bag of premium pork scratchings
A lovely handmade card from my daughter
A card full of insults from my sons
premium pork scratchings
I think you've won today...
I got a Timber bell, quite chuffed. Wanted one for ages.
I think you’ve won today…
Feels that way
T-shirt in size large, I wear a medium.
Shave oil, face scrub & shave balm, I have had a beard for years....
Is he trying to tell me something....
Anti aging cream off the youngest
The oldest is out shopping so I guess someone reminded him this morning lol
I got a copy of Tim Weaver's newest title in the David Raker series, No One Home. It's exactly what I wanted.
Got a four colour Biro and a box of tic-tacs.
A case of beer from beer hawk and spent 3 hours down at the local ponds...caught 4 decent carp in glorious sunshine so quite a good day really.
I'm enjoying the Vocation Brewery Father's Day pack of beer.
😎😎😎
I'm not a parent (that I know of)
😜
A bottle of whisky and a fall out with an 11 yr old which spoiled my day entirely.
Yesterday started with a loop of the NY Moors with a good friend, sadly this excursion ended with an OTB, facial grazing and bruised ribs 😳
Got home to appreciation, cards, Doom Bar and gifts from the junior Wombats (although they're both technically adults).
A very good day (apart from the OTB bit)
Day out in the Peaks on Friday, Guiness cake on Saturday and vocation brewery box of beers. Best of all was the home made card from my 6 year old that he made at school. Pretty chilled weekend otherwise as we have kind of got used to through lockdown.
new pair of fivetens off my two. they gave one one each wrappped up!
im sure they would have been offended had i not tested them out and got them muddy!
Been quite good at dodging the storms and showers lately - my luck ran out!
I have no kids, my Dad is dead (and we weren't that close before), I call yesterday Sunday.
One card, a case of Estrella (from the non-card giver) and 3kg of Starmix. We all did a fiendish quiz on Zoom in the evening, the rounds were different subjects all linked by a theme and spot the missing part of the theme final answer.
I have no kids, my Dad is dead (and we weren’t that close before), I call yesterday Sunday.
So why come on here and spoil the fun for the dads?
I was up and out the door for a ride before anyone else surfaced.
Returned home in the mid-afternoon to a guilt-trip from the wife because I hadn't "wanted to spend time with my son" and "she wasn't angry, just sad" and "I go for a ride every Sunday" I also got 2 bottles of Corona beer from our son.
PS. I spend time with my son (who is 20) most days, we walk the dogs together and talk about amazingly random shit, so it's not like we aren't pretty close.
PPS. I lost a couple of hours before returning home because I was at my mothers fitting a new door strip in the kitchen doorway where one had been missing for a few weeks now.
Our youngest gets very excited for celebratory stuff, always makes something thoughtful. I got a box containing assorted sweets, a book and a voucher for a family surfing lesson in the hope we get to Cornwall this summer - something of a tradition now with the same instructor. I think I saw No1 for around 30 mins and popped down to my dad for a bit. After a swim in the morning spent the afternoon watching documentaries about climbing, swimming and surfing.
Made my own breakfast (although I had to stay out of wife and youngest way as they were off to horses), made lunch for everyone (although I had to wait for them to get back at indeterminate time), ordered takeaways for us all. I did get cards from the girls and a book which wasn't expected and was nice.
I also got one of these which I'd ordered for myself

No cards, but home made jam tarts (eldest son) and home made curry (youngest son). But we are very distracted as eldest son goes in on Wednesday to get new (actually second hand) kidney. From me - best fathers day present ever.
