Just switched on my lap top and the sound has stopped working. Went to "controll panel" aqnd it says no audio device. What is going on and how do I get the sound back??

control panel>system>hardware>device manager
now see if you can see anything looking like its broken and maybe update the drivers for your sound card.....

Is it Vista?
In device manager, remove the device and reboot. It should then rediscover the sound device and everything should work!
