There certainly seems to be something different on my page, and it's making this old Win98 computer in my lab very happy. ๐Ÿ˜€

well, I'm risking a ban here but just so you know; we've been told to ignore posts from the "old" site users. Eventually you'll just fade away

Can't say I've spotted anything much, apart from a 'Premium User Accounts' bit in the t's & c's.

...but that may have been there before, can't say I've noticed

The shutdown last night was to get the back end ready for what's to come.

Important to state that today's planned launch is step one of many. But it's a quite a major one for us even if it's something that isn't of interest to everyone. There's an incredible amount of work gone on and is ongoing behind the scene - mostly to do with making lots of databases talk to each other and generally behave ๐Ÿ™‚ We still have a lot to do. Parts of the process are still going to be manual at our end for a few more weeks, which is why we are rolling it out slowly to batches of users at a time.

There's no real priority in terms of who gets picked first, and even if picked you may not be interested in it, at least not in this initial phase.

From our point of view it marks the start of a new way we work as a publisher of bike content and it's not unprecedented in the big publishing world. How publishers distribute their content is changing massively at the moment, from mags to newspapers. Luckily we are in a pretty good position to mess about at the bleeding edge...

Sorry about the vagueness but we are still tweaking stuff. All will be revealed ๐Ÿ™‚

It's all so mysterious!

Is it going to be a readers wives section?

I reckon they will abandon the print magazine and instead offer a Direct Neural Download, where the entire magazine and forum are written directly into your brain.

It'll be like Chuck. Looking at any bike or bike stuff will trigger a "flash" and we'll instantly know everything there is to know about it. ๐Ÿ˜€

Unfortunately, due to recent threads, we'll also "flash" on Domestos and kebabs. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Is it going to be a readers wives section?

that would require the readers to have:
a)wives
b)cooperative ones

how likely is that ?
