Its an odd term to use for a motorbike, but it is definitely a looker alright.

When I read the OP I thought, 'it must be an MV of some sort'
Absolutely true.

Eh no, TZ250 or perhaps one of the GP500s would be my choice.

Same designer. 🙂
Think of the MV as a fully realised version of the 916.
Which, er, borrowed lots of cues from the NR750.

The 916 is very simple and sparse on detail, the MV's got too many flourishes for me. The NR is a bit chunky and looks more 4 cylinder than VTwin

BTW if you're ever in Inverness, you should head for the bus station and check out Charlie's cafe

I agree, first iterations of designs are usually the best looking. 🙂
Although I reckon the first MV F4 was his most beautiful.

Great caff btw.

Don't know about ever (cause I am an Enduro boy at heart) but it's very close for a sports bike ,and it gets extra pretty points for the lack of stoopid exhaust cans.

I just can't get excited about sports bikes... for me it is big nakeds that get my juices flowing... and something with some soul.

Hence why I have this one:

Which I still feel is one of the sexiest bikes on planet Earth.

Have to say Rob that Tenni green Griso SE is definitely my favourite of those posted. Absolutely beautiful.

I've been eyeing one up myself but the lack of dealer network up this neck of the woods is a little disconcerting to say the least. Also not quite as nice in the now Matt black/grey guise.

MV F4 tamborini has always been my personal favourite. Met a guy in France once who had one and had removed all the inners of the exhaust system....it sounded like a Ferrari. Awesome sound and piece of art rolled into one.

If we're talking prettiest, then an older Vespa is just stunning, like a piece of modernist sculpture:

But an Egli Vincent runs it close:
Patrick Godet, who still builds these today, is someone I'd love to meet.

I wouldn't say any of those are pretty

Purposeful and impressive yes, but not pretty

I wouldn't worry about dealer networks for Guzzi - the warranty is crap anyway! I get mine looked after by a local bike garage with no worries at all having decided that the 90-odd mile ride to the local dealer for a service was perhaps a tad silly!

I'm with Rusty Spanner, these are pretty in every little detail.

They sing a lovely song too.

This one belongs to one of my mates in Oz

I think most Jap bikes looked the best until this came along. They got the proportions just right on the baby Panigale.

An Orgi special is something very nice indeed

[img] [/img]

Lots of very beautiful Italian bikes around but for me the 996 SPS takes it

[img] [/img]

The Brits and Italians have also been very good at making simple bikes beautiful
My mate's Montjuic

[img] [/img]

For the Japs

I stood and stared at one of these on Douglas sea-front for at least 10 minutes earlier this year, stunning machine

Sadly they were rarely as well executed as that one. This one tried to kill me 🙂

Any of those bikes above have an heart shaped engine? Didn't think so. They may well be pretty but this is just beautiful.

I still think these were pretty. Shame they were like hand grenades if you gave them any prolonged stick. The 850 cured that, but too late.
