Any quick way to deterine whether a table is oak or pine from pictures. I think its pine but just wanted to double check its not oak.JUst looking at buying it.

No, it's oak.

EDIT: Could do with a good spruce up though.

Definitely looks like oak to me. Probably laminated too.

Pretty sure it's not laminated. Looks like solid oak, just narrow planks glued together with a surround. Pretty nasty looking orange lacquer on there though. A good sanding back to bare timber, coat of clear hardwax oil and you'd have yourself a not too bad table there - certainly better than an equivalent in pine. You'd need a decent orbital sander though to get all traces of lacquer off.

I was going to say Oak too.

Been looking at a lot of oak tables recently... ๐Ÿ˜
