Long story short..
My brother is living in a van in New Zealand.
He is pretty much an alcoholic and has 'done something' to his arm.
He cant remember hitting it.. but he could have been blind drunk (i dont know)
He says it hurts and is sore.
He says he has a bit of a temperature and feels like crap.
He's being a dick and saying he cant be bothered to go to A&E
Im not a doctor but it looks like its infected or broken?

I’d be more worried about that, at the moment...
Only time I’ve done similar was when I twisted my ankle a damaged the tendons and when I landed on the end of my handlebars. Very uniform bleeding though. He should see someone but you can’t force him. Can he still use the arm?
It just looks bruised to me.
That’s one hell of a contusion there! That’s gonna hurt in the morning...
Personally, I’d want to get a professional to check that over, just in case there’s more severe damage underneath.

Especially in NZ - they are somewhat behind us on the CV curve - having only in the last days or so identified a few non-travel related cases.
I'm not any kind of medic, but I'd be asking him if the damaged area is hot. If not, my guess is it's a bad bruise and just needs time (plus he also has a virus); if the arm is hot, it's infected and may have sepsis, needs A&E asap.
I dont think he has Coronavirus.

He can be a real dick sometimes compounded by his alcohol addiction.

I’d be concerned if it was broken as above sepsis is a killer. As is being alcoholic. Try your best but don’t damage yourself
I'd be concerned that there's a fracture with that amount of bruising. The other symptoms escalate concerns - A&E job I think 🙁
Looks like it may be poisoning , felt tip around it and see if it's getting bigger area . If it is giving him flu symptoms a&e , fell off my bike once burst the knee and that's what I got
The stupid idiot doesnt seem to want to go to A&E
If i ever see him again he's getting a black eye to match that arm.
