[Closed] Is someone able to give me a balanced view of Britain being part of the EU?

Norway, Switzerland and any other non eu country in Europe have the benefit of having to comply with much of European law without being able to influence it.

That is the real choice we have.

I'm still no clearer.

As far as I can tell, the benefits are:-

We have a minority say in European Law Legislation.
Free trade within the EU helps UK exports to other EU countries
Cheaper imports (China, Japan etc. aren't important anymore!)
Juan gets to visit

Negatives
STW concensus says none (and it is [b]our[/b] fault if things haven't panned out in the UK's favour eg. fishing, farming!)

I feel much happier now that has been cleared up ๐Ÿ˜‰
