I've been using it for my training since Christmas,I'm very happy with my gains since then.
Not really bothered about getting KOM's but I've been tracking my fitness and there's been a big improvement.
I won't lie I do like to see myself moving up the table but I am a competitive person by nature, rather than times segments I usually work off the whole ride, segments just make it fun.

The café at Glenlivet prints out the Strava times of the top 25 male and female for the Red and Blue routes. I am proud to say that I'm still on the Blue list! I was 10th when I set my time last July but I'm in danger of sliding out of the top 20. Time to revisit methinks...

Likewise, while I enjoy seeing the different segments, the thing I'm most interested in is my average speed over the ride. I've definitely noticed that going up over the last year since I started cycling again and using strava.

I don't think it's sad matey Stravas everywhere we go and although I haven't the slightest interest in it he's always proud when he's not last

He's a big unit and gives it 100% so it's good to get a result

I like the segments that on out of the way off road routes, where's there's only like 20-30 riders. There's one I really enjoy on one my routes, I'm not KOM but I am placed higher than a local pro... he's 10th and I'm 7th. I imagine all the KOM are placed by people riding 29ers whilst I'm on a 26er, so that's my excuse as well.

I've got 13 KOMs at the moment, but 1 really good one. 1/ 1601 which I'm pretty pleased with as I'm a 46 mtber and not a particularly regular roadie.

No KOMs for me, but 9 PBs on a 20ml ride yesterday lunch time with my Whyte Shoreditch commuter and 28mm tyres up the Ridgway. A great break from the office AND signs I'm consistently getting better - what's not to love?
