Apparently the best way to make tons of money gambling is online poker. As I understand it it's full of noobs mucking about and blowing small sums of cash for a laugh. Play enough of those games and come away with all their cash.
A guy I used to know at work did this and also studied football form very closely and made tons of cash. His pot was up to £26k at one point but he blew it all again 'chasing bets' as he used to call it ie trying to make back a loss. He learned not to do that and was back up to £10k or so when he left the company.
people can do whatever they like and whether a person believes something is wrong or not is down to their moral conditioning. Personally I'd rather leave gambling in casinos, slot machines, horse racing, betting etc to the greedy people.

Bloody-hell, how on Earth did this thread come back to life after a year? FWIW, it was me who started the thread, I had a flutter, won some money, lost some money and decided that I didn't have the balls to keep doing it. In the end I had come out even, but had wasted about 2 days breaking even and decided that the next time I wanted to lose 2 days for no money, I'd bugger off on the bike for 2 days!
Gambling is only wrong when you let it take over. I had a break in Vegas and thought it would be rude not to. I was there for 5 days and before I even got on the plane had allocated how much I was going to spend on gambling. I just saw it as the fee you pay for the entertainment I received. As it turned out I won a bit and lost a bit, for the 1st 3 nights came away about £100 down after spending 4 or 5 hours at the table, drinking for free and tipping the waitresses for 3 night solid. Bargain. The 4th night was memorable and I ended up about £400 up but that ended up being 7 hours at the table followed my many more at Crazy Horse 2, got back in the hotel just in time for breakfast with about enough winnings left to pay for it.
All in all a gem of a time and some truly entertaining nights that cost me no more than a couple of nights on the town.
You just need to know when to walk away. Oh and it helps if you don't take your entire student loan for a year and blow it in a week in Vegas like a couple of lads we met from Newcastle. Cracked me up but I cringe to think of them paying it off now!
